How to play the Penalty Shootout
This free penalty shootout game puts you on the spot for a classic best-of-five. There are two simple steps to every kick. First, pick your target — choose one of the six zones (top or bottom, left, centre or right). Then tap Shoot: a power meter sweeps back and forth, and where you stop it sets how hard you hit the ball. Strike it firmly to give the keeper less time to react, but go too big and you risk blazing it over the bar.
The goalkeeper guesses a side on every kick, so placement and power both matter. Tuck it into the corner away from the keeper's dive and you will find the net; aim straight down the middle and you are gambling that they commit early. Score more than you miss across five penalties to win the shootout.

- Favour the bottom corners. Low and hard to the side is the percentage penalty for a reason.
- Don't max out the power every time. Accuracy beats brute force — an over-hit shot can sail high.
- Centre is a surprise weapon when you expect the keeper to dive, but it is high-risk.
